Description

I was the post art director and online editor for this TVC. The challenge for this advert came from making it look like our actor had actually jumped off a mountaintop. I wanted to inject the brand into the art direction of the visual effects so I added lots of details like creating sausage themed prayer flags and a knife and fork tree poles.
The scope of this commercial changed quite a bit over the production process. As the client’s new rebrand included bright blue skies and fluffy clouds as a visual motif, we were brought in to make sure everything worked for that. What we didn’t expect was heavy snow falling from the sky on our way to the shoot, however. Problem solving, and attempting to help tell the story as best we could, it also came as a blessing, as we changed the idea to be her on top of a himalyan mountain, which only made the joke even funnier.
